You do forget how much violence has been prevented by Pax Americana? Ask Taiwan, ask Western Europe. Without the USA the world map would look very different as lesser powers waged war like we are seeing in Ukraine.

I don’t make the US out to be a knight in white armor - but the might of America has held back a world of violence.
