Whew, Andrew, I hope you are wrong, but I fear you may be all to correct in your dire diagnosis. What I would like to do, to figure out, is where can I exert some pressure to make things better, rather than worse? Frankly, I have no clue. Climate issues, I guess. Whatever else happens, slowing catastrophic climate change would likely give us all better options.
