Where Trump is right: Canada sends 75% of its exports to the US. And rather than develop a strong manufacturing base, it has willfully continued to be an exporter of raw materials - wood, electricity, oil - she it could have been refining them (why doesn’t Canada refine its own oil for the global market? Why sell it to the US for refinement? Okay, too late for oil). My point is, this is a wake-up call for Canada to forge closer ties with the EU and yes, with China, and certainly with Mexico!
