This all reads like a noir thriller, doesn’t it? With Trump the billionaire corrupt crime boss who is untouchable. And then it all comes down…Maybe MacBeth is a better parallel, though MacBeth at least had qualms and regrets, and a dose of courage — all of which Trompé lacks (my new name for the former guy - it’s French for “trick”, as in, “trompé l’œil” - “trick of the eye” - the expression used for paining the facades of buildings as if they were lavishly worked stone….but it’s just paint. Kind of fits him, right?
