Frankly, the IPCC in its efforts to be scientifically impeachable ends up understating some things which are crucial to the climate debate, first among them what will happen it climate tipping points are reached. Yes, they assess the likelihood of these tipping points being reached, but they do not put this in context of what this means for increased heat in the atmosphere and oceans. They are fixated on 1.5, 2, 3 degrees....but the tipping points will push earth into even hotter averages, and thus much more deadly and frequent extreme events. So, respectfully, I'm not interested in only talking about what the IPCC says. This is just a starting point for meaningful conversation, and, hopefully, a place where honest skeptics can go to find out what the current scientific consensus says.
