Thank you so much for this provocative and insightful article. I have just finished three months in New Zealand, traveling, observing, and writing about it in my Medium blog.

I’ve been fascinated by the recent changes I’ve observed in how the Pakeha are engaging with the Māori on so many levels - for example, the recent ruling that effectively gave Mount Taranaki status as a legal “person” and also the various ways in which restoration of tribal lands and conservation seems to be woven together.

I have more to write on this subject, and I wonder if you would give me permission to quote your blog (of course with credit).
