Shankar, great analysis as usual. I think you raise a point about a lack mandate that all medium pundits can amplify.
However - I would urge all to beware of inadvertently amplifying the mandate lie as they do so: it’s part of the illusion of truth: denying a lie I. The language of the lie reinforces it!
Example: “Hillary is not crooked” reinforces the original lie.
Example: “the 2020 election as not stolen” reinforces the original lie.
So, the whole mandate conversation needs to be reframed toward what is, rather than stating what it not and denying that.
The key fact here is that Trump won less than 50% of the vote.
I think that word minority should be used:
“A minority of voters elected Trump. The majority rejected Trump’s politics of hate.”
Let’s get that message out there.
