Samuel, thank you for writing about the Sàmi in Sweden. Two summers ago I visited Arctic Norway and spent about three weeks in Sàmi lands (I wrote 4 stories in Medium.coM about my encounters with them, their lives and challenges for survival). They have made some important gains in Norway, but remain far from equal citizens. There is something to build upon, though, and a growing awareness in Norwegian society. I hope you get a chance to visit Norway too.
