JR, I found KSR’s Green Earth a better book. It’s a similar idea, but set right now, in the 2020s, and tracks a major climate disaster unfolding in Washington DC. He makes climate change real, and looks at realistic characters coping and responding to a crisis. Like MFTF, Green Earth is padded, but I find his character development and story lines much stronger, and so the whole book is more gripping.
