John, yours is the best commentary I have read on the wrap of up the Jan 6th Committee. Two fine points:

1. Kudos for not naming Trump's social media outlet. The name is itself a lie, and I rage at journalists who call this liar's anti-social platform by the prevision he wants us to call it. Well done!

2. I doubt Trump is quoting Nietzsche. I think he is quoting Kelly Clarkson's song with the same title of N's famous aphorism. I'm a big fan of Nietzsche--a thinker so misunderstood in modern times. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is not an anthem of self pity, and certainly not meaning that your outraged followers will flock to your side when your widdle feelings have been hurt (by a congressional committee concluding you are a traitor to your country).

No! Nietzsche's aphorism applies when one has been seriously weakened: if you can find the internal resources to endure, then you become a stronger human being on the inside. It is all about inner fortitude, the exact opposite of the self-pitying orange grifter.
