John, with great respect for your writing, I found this piece woefully devoid of evidence and examples from the press conference of cognitive decline, as opposed to verbal difficulties Biden had faced all his life in public service. As a lifelong stutterer, each word takes conscious effort for him to speak, and so when tired, he more easily gets tongue tangled. Hey, when I’m tired, I get tongue tangled.

It’s simply not fair to diagnose a mental problem when confronted with a speech problem - especially from someone we all know has this condition. Stuttering is the only condition Biden is know to have - plus arthritis in his legs and neuropathy in a foot, and a hairline fracture, which is why he is walking more slowly.

To assume otherwise is to jump on the media bandwagon that Biden is too old. And let’s remember who is driving that wagon - Donald Trump.
