Jack, it’s never either or - from Spain you can still be active in US politics. Not just absentee voting, but contributing to discussion, motivating others, donating to the right causes and politicians who seem good to you. Frankly, our geographic locations means little these days. I say this from a fjord in Norway. My wife and I left the US several months ago, but we will return a few weeks before the election, and will volunteer (probably for the Dem senate campaign in Pennsylvania.
