It is frightening how little new space this story is taking up. While I very much hope this leads to the fall of Putin, and the end to the war in Ukraine, I fear for the instability this will create - not just nuclear threat, but the chaos that will ensue in Russia, a new scramble for power. It sure seems we are headed that way.

It also bothers me to read the number of articles -even on Medium - warning that Putin really really means it about his nuclear threat! These people are begging for appeasement, and I just don't get it. I think the untied West has done well standing by - well behind - Ukraine in this needless conflict. Let's hope we keep our mettle in the months to come.
