I agree that that "tests" are can easily become a means of discriminating against minorities. But, what if you do have a very competent person who happens to be older? I wonder how much prejudice against Biden is simply ageism. Maybe an 80 year old Biden would be much better than a younger politician who lacks his experience and acumen? I'm not specifically arguing for Biden, just saying age can also be a prejudice.
