Hie hie Bert! I sure relished your stark photos of the Faroes. It brought back memories of my visit there IN SUMMERTIME. Gutsy to go in November, and I’m simply glad you were able to find warm food from time to time. Because it’s not a tourist destination, most folks on this insular island simply don’t have a sense of being welcoming to strangers. So - it’s not that they were unfriendly to you. It’s that they are not particularly friendly with people who are not already their friends!

But, for windswept majesty, those barren hills are hard to beat.
