Hi Tessa, I'm a long-time readers and admirer of your work, so I don't mind if you insult me now and then ("reflects your ignorance")-- but it's sooo Facebook of you! Not the vibe I generally find on Medium (which is why I no longer spend time on FB).

So, I've worked on climate issues, helping organisations communicate, including the WWF, Green Climate Fund, World Resources Institute and World Bank. Im not arguing they are right, just saying I don;t come from a place of utter ignorance. As A publisher, I have also cultivated several climate authors, many of who outline intelligent paths towards better and worse outcomes. I draw a lot of wisdom from their writings (Am I too Old Too Save the Planet?; What is Solving the Climate Crisis is Simple?; and Stop Super Climate Pollutants Now!

So, while adaptation makes sense, it also makes sense to work hard to reduce emissions and create a longer, slower crisis, rather than an acute global catastrophe.
