Hi Mike, it’s not a fact - no more than that the sun revolves round the earth is a fact when back when all but a handful of astronomers believed it so.
But I guess we need a new word to describe a popular lie — propaganda sounds so negative. And purposeful, whereas Trumps lies as more like Big Brother’s from 1984 - lies just for the exercise of power, watching the masses believe in whatever they are told. 2+2=5 is we say so! Except, you can’t design a bridge or balance a checkbook with false facts.

Anyway, that new word- how about fauxts? Or, homage to Musk and the network that broke truth, “ FaX”.
