Hi Joana, as I am travelling through Portugal, I really love your stuff. I've also been following these articles on Medium about the fate of Medium. Including Jessica's biting stories. I'm fortunate in that I decided not to write paid articles, as I have other sources of income. But as a writer and published author for over 30 years, I love to write, and Medium has become a great platform for me to stay connected with friends and find new ones. (I sued to blog on Huff Post, but they shifted model about 4 years ago and I left).

I read more than I write on Medium, and love the new voices, such as yours, that have come into my life. So I'm staying. After all, it is just a platform. If Medium withers, those of us who love writing will find another place to find one another and share what matters to us.
