I just recently returned from a 3 week assignment in Mongolia (helping women leaders master leadership communications skills). PS - though Genghis Khan was ruthless in conquest, his empire brought 100 years of the Mongol Peace to Eurasia. Among the laws he passed: freedom of religion, and far more legal rights for women than Europeans enjoyed at that time - they were still burning witches and torturing heretics.
