Here’s what I wrestle with, Erika: I may agree with certain ideas about the nature of reality, and yet it’s what I do in my actual life that shows me what I actually believe. When I get annoyed by a persistent panhandler on the street, that reveals to me a belief in separateness. When I go for a walk in the afternoon and lose myself in a garden, when I “come to,” I realize I have experienced a brief time of oneness.
