Guy, thank you for this lucid, honest and powerful article. Wouldn’t it be great if Mike Johnson read it? I so appreciate the wisdom you bring to reading the Bible. I was once a fervent evangelical, but have moved away from Christianity in good part because I ceased to see the Bible as a good guide to my ethics. Your understanding might have been most helpful to me back then.
