Gosh Mike, your article gives me hives, for I remember too well an acquaintance making this exact argument in Oct 2016, that Trump would not be so bad because the government runs by rules and norms that he would not be able to circumvent. But, what would have happened if Bill Barr and Mike Pence had not discovered they possessed the minimal amount of backbone not to betray their country?

So, while I agree Trump would be incompetent, I also think he will do whatever he can to tear down the apparatus of government —and will hire some smart jackals to do the dirty work.
