Gosh, Ben, I am having trouble with this! The Jews made a big damn deal about the Temple, the Holy of Holies. They did believe their God of all could be specially located in this temple, and to this day venerate the Wall that remains. It's not purity that remains, it is the localised wall. And Jerusalem, and before the modern state of Israel, the dream of Jerusalem....
