Gosh Araci, I ache for you, and for all the families caught in this cycle. My wife is from Portugal, and both her parents came from peasant villages where life was tough. Neither had education beyond third grade before they were sent away to work. Luckily for my wife, her father was not a cruel man. In fact, she adores him to this day.
