Fraudy Trump

A nickname fit for an old fat fraud

Donald Trump is working round the clock on the most vital element of his campaign — finding a better nickname for his opponent than “laffin’ Kamela” because, oh, she will be laughing loud and long at him.

And by the way. I think that is the perfect strategy — to laugh at Trump. One thing bullies and con men simply cannot tolerate is being laughed at. So, laugh away, Kamela, laugh away!

One of my favorite Medium political bloggers, Mike Weisser, recently wrote that Kamela would do well to come up with a new nickname for Trump — something neither Biden nor Hillary seemed able to do. I consider it my patriotic duty to help in that effort. I invite everyone reading this to take a crack at this, too. Let a thousand flowers of ridicule blossom…

My chief contenders:

Felonious Trump. ‘Felon’ applies just plain factually. While I like the ring of “felonious”, I think the resonance with Thelonius Monk would not be fair to the great jazz trumpeter...though Trump sure does toot his own sour horn.

Mr. MAGAgoo. While there’s a lot I love about this evocation of the 60s cartoon character, the nearsighted curmudgeon, MaGoo, it might be too obscure for younger generations. I might use it though with fellow Boomers. It makes me envision Trump as cartoon version of his grumpy-old-man self.

Fraudy Trump. “Fraudy” sounds like “Freddy,” the diminutive of Trump’s father’s name. It also sounds like “froggy,” and, well, helps one picture Trump as a giant, bloated toad. Not far from reality, that. But most important, it reminds of both of the crimes Trump has been convicted of, and the fraud he has perpetrated on the American people, and indeed on his own followers, by lying to them about everything.

He wants his followers to believe he was sent by God. But he is an unrepentant liar, adulterer, rapist, and inciter of violence. He’s not their savior; he is their golden calf — a false idol.

“Fraudy.” I like that.
