Dr. Pine, this is an extremely important topic. One cognitive bias you have neglected to measure is the Backfire effect. This is what happens when people feel the need to defend positions they hold that are connect to their sense of identity and self worth. When some “shares factual information” at odds with these believes, the person is more likely to argue harder for their cause, even if it now seems illogical. The result is a strengthening of their mistaken beliefs.

So - simply presenting the facts on climate change to a climate-denier can all to easily create greater resistance.
