Brad, what an excellent article! And how cool to share the experience with your daughter. I recall reading about a valley in a remote part of Iceland that was to be sited for geothermal development. But seven local people objected because it was a place that was inhabited by fairies—they gathered enough local support that the government stepped in and quashed the plans! Long live the fairies of Iceland and those who love them. 😎
