Actually, based upon my time living in China, I believe they see stability only follows from complete one-sided power. Watch the Chinese movie “the flying dagger” and you will see this as the explicit moral of the story. (Also - I highly recommend an upcoming book, China; the Super-Predator by Pierre-Antoine Donnet.
