Absolutely! When crédible media merely repeat What Trump say, they end up amplifying the lies - even when they add a disclaimer, use quotes or whatever dodge they employ. This is the power of the Illusory Truth effect, a well researched cognitive bias that states when we hear a lie repeated more often, we are more likely to believe it is true. So no wonder that years of repetition continue to erode Republican perceptions of reality (please see my book, Pro Truth).
