Absolutely…and this is exactly the right question and the right request (how to get ideas to the ones who could implement them, though?)

For one thing, there needs to be a restoration of truth as a guiding principle of democracy. I was really disheartened when some pundits on the left said during the campaign we have to start fighting fire with fire and learn to lie like Trump does.

More could be done to promote the ProTruth Pledge (www.protruthpledge.org)
and at local election/government levels insist on those seeking office sign the pledge themselves. That effort at community level and then push upward - helping give us social awareness of truthfulness as imperative for functioning democracy.
